Get started
Start with something your team already works on. You do not need to migrate everything first.
- Create your workspace
Sign in at app.artifactbridge.com ↗. If you are starting a new company, give the workspace a name.
- Connect the AI tool you already use
For local tools, open
Settings → Installand run the ArtifactBridge desktop setup. ChatGPT connects through the official ArtifactBridge app. - Bring in one real project
Import documents from a connected app, upload files, or ask your local agent to scan a project folder and prepare an import for you.
- Use it from your AI
Ask the agent to find the project, summarize it, spot a conflict or prepare a change. The useful test is whether your agent can work from the same information your team sees.
Your agent scans the folder and sends an import proposal to your Inbox. You choose what should enter the Library.
Detailed setup
Getting started with ArtifactBridge
ArtifactBridge is a shared workspace for people and agents. Agents read documents, leave comments, and propose changes to governed documents. People approve the shared version. Connected document sources are read-only. Separate connector actions, such as posting a comment, use their own approval flow.
Follow the four steps in order. Each step takes a few minutes.
Step 1: Create your account
- Open
https://app.artifactbridge.com. - Select Sign up. Enter your email address and a password, or select Continue with Google.
- Accept the Terms and the Privacy Policy.
- If you signed up with an email address, open the confirmation email and select the link. The link expires after one hour. If it expires, return to the sign-in screen and request a new email.
If a colleague invited you, open the invitation link instead. Sign in with the same email address the invitation was sent to. An invitation link works only for that address.
Step 2: Create your company
A company is the container for your documents, members, and agents.
- After you sign in for the first time, ArtifactBridge shows the Create your company screen.
- Enter the company name and select Create company.
- You are the owner of the company you create.
If the screen says You don't have access yet, your account is not a member of any company. Ask a company owner to invite you by email from Settings › Members & Access. See Invite your team and choose roles.
Step 3: Install ArtifactBridge
- Open Settings › Install.
- Confirm the detected platform, or select macOS, Windows, or Linux. On Linux, also select your
package type:
.debfor Debian/Ubuntu,.rpmfor Fedora/RHEL, or AppImage for other x86_64 Linux systems. - Select the download button and open the installer.
- Follow the steps in the ArtifactBridge desktop application. The application signs you in, configures your coding tools, and confirms when ArtifactBridge is ready.
To confirm the connection, ask your agent for the workspace information. If you must revoke access for a coding tool, use Settings › Members & Access › Access.
Step 4: Create your first document
You can start from an existing source or from an empty document.
- From a source: open Settings › Connected apps and connect an account (for example Google Drive or Notion). Then use Import to select the documents to bring in. ArtifactBridge reads the source. It never writes back to it.
- From scratch: open Library and select New document. Write the content, then publish it when it is ready.
Your agent can now read the document. When an agent wants to change a governed document, it creates a proposal. A person reviews the proposal and approves or rejects it. Nothing an agent proposes becomes canonical until a person says yes.
Complete one real task
- Create a folder for a project, then upload a document or import one from a connected source.
- Open the folder’s Copy context action and choose Current conversation.
- Paste the context into your connected AI tool. Ask it to read the folder and summarize a specific decision.
- Ask the agent to propose one improvement to a governed document.
- Open the proposal in the Inbox. Review the changed text and accept it or request a revision.
- Open the document’s History to check the result.
You have now tested the whole path: shared context, agent work, human review, and a recorded version. If a step fails, use Troubleshooting before importing more material.
Choose your agent path
Use ArtifactBridge AI for work in the browser. Use a connected AI chat for your existing conversations. Install the desktop app when you want local coding-tool setup, notifications, Skill installation, or local-agent starts. A local command-line tool must be installed and signed in before it can run on your computer.
